Comments

Jenny

One big communication challenge is when you're managing virtual, remote project teams and the people don't report directly to you with a solid line. I always plan the meetings, inform of agenda, start and stop on time. But, it's generally difficult to keep things interactive. The biggest issue is follow-up on actions/commitments agreed upon. Even with published minutes/actions and follow-up emails, phone calls, voicemails, this is the biggest problem. So, subsequent meetings end up as re-runs of previous ones.
